I am Hozan Q. Hussein, a graduate of Duhok University, where I received a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from the College of Health Sciences, followed by a master’s degree in Medical Microbiology. Currently, I serve as a staff member in the Medical Laboratory Science Department at Cihan University-Duhok in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq. Previously, I was a staff member at the University of Duhok's Medical Laboratory Sciences Department, Duhok university. With a strong commitment to advancing my profession, I am now focused on research and development. My passion for teaching and research drives me to support and inspire my colleagues and students in our shared pursuit of scientific knowledge.

The objectives of this study were to determine the prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) among patients with COVID-19, examining the relationship between COVID-19 severity and T2DM in hospitalized patients, detecting T2DM outcomes in COVID-19 patients, and identifying the vaccination rates of COVID-19 patients with T2DM.
